WHAT IS YOUR TET 2022?

Table of Contents

Every year, many people have to celebrate Tet far from home, such as children studying abroad, workers who have not saved enough money for transportation, or students who want to stay in crowded cities to earn a little extra money to pay for their studies. This year, the road home for Tet for children is longer because of the COVID-19 epidemic, especially for those who are abroad. Their suitcases are not only full of clothes and belongings, but also 'contain' a burning desire: to go home.

For each of us, Tet is something very sacred and special, this is the occasion for family reunion, to meet relatives after months of separation. Therefore, when away from home during Tet, people miss their homeland even more. Everything that is present on Tet, everything that belongs to the family becomes their wish and desire. There are times when they crave the pungent smell of the pot of banh chung on New Year's Eve, crave a piece of banh chung to eat with pickled vegetables with their parents; however, due to difficult circumstances, they have to put everything aside, only hoping that next year they will save enough money to visit their hometown...

Tet is…

It was the first morning of the year, I could sleep in, no need to set an alarm like every day in the city. A sleep in the pure breath of the first day of the year, without worries, rush, or fatigue. Eating the first meal of the year with my mother and father, in the warmth of the spring greeting songs playing from the TV non-stop... Then welcoming the first relatives to visit the house, laughing and talking, everyone's eyes were as bright as the new clothes of children...

Tet is…

It is a vague night lying down imagining the year ahead that I am about to go through, in my mind sketching the strokes of love and faith, painting the colors of serenity, ready to accept all the twists and turns of heaven and earth and karma.
Simply a moment for those who are often busy with calculations, those who are far from home and thirst for love, those who selfishly forget the way back to filial piety... to calm down and look back at themselves most clearly, without colorful makeup, but simple like fragrant golden rice flowers by the roadside of the years...

Tet is…

Looking back to appreciate myself, and to be grateful to those who have been close to me, even those who sometimes just passed through my life – but more or less contributed to my achievements today. Even those I used to hate, those who hurt me….
