Tea drinking culture exists in many countries around the world, especially in Japan, where tea drinking is no longer just about enjoying tea but has become an art form of tea ceremony. Now, young Vietnamese people can easily learn and study this art form through clubs, classes, and bartending performances.

On weekends, many students in Hanoi come to the Tea Ceremony Club at the Japanese Cultural Center to learn how to make and enjoy Japanese tea.

The tea room is decorated in a traditional Japanese style, with wooden partitions, tatami floors, traditional paintings, and artistic flower vases. Notably, all participants communicate and listen to lectures in Japanese, with the aim of preserving the essence and cultural significance of the tea ceremony.
Students who come to tea ceremony often do so out of a love for manga and anime. Before learning, many students often express curiosity about the culture, want to learn to make tea for their family to enjoy, or some because they are about to study or work in Japan.

In addition to a rich knowledge and thorough understanding of Japanese culture, to become a "skilled" tea maker, each young person studying the art of tea ceremony must be very diligent, meticulous and careful.
To make a cup of tea that reaches the coolness and pure green color of a “standard” tea ceremony, students must practice for a certain period of time. In addition, when learning to make tea, students must be respectful, elegant and skillful, so learning Japanese tea ceremony has helped students practice many virtues: careful, meticulous, gentle, skillful and neat when performing each action in the series of operations of a tea ceremony.

Huyền Châu, a student in the class, said that learning tea ceremony is often expensive because the tools and materials must be purchased from Japan at high prices. In addition, many young people who are new to tea ceremony are hesitant because there are too many principles and standards and worry that they do not have enough patience to sit for hours just to make and drink tea.

However, young people who have been pursuing the art of tea ceremony for a long time all find that, once they have loved and practiced it for a long time, every gesture following the rules becomes a natural habit, without feeling constrained.
Although the process of a tea party is very complicated and requires many factors, young people still learn about it very enthusiastically. They feel very interesting and attracted by the cultural features of East Asia crystallized in each cup of tea.
The art of tea ceremony has truly contributed to making people forget the pressures of daily life, their souls become pure and they want to move towards better things.
